Loafers

Whether it’s a loafer, oxford or a moccasin, the many iterations of the grandma shoe are certainly back in fashion.

The traditional men’s footwear staple has made its resurrection largely due to the rise of preppy dressing. Let’s face it, tartan skirts, long socks, tights and cropped blazers all look better paired with cute little loafers.

Prada’s loafers have certainly aided the shoe’s rise to popularity. Their loafer is sleek, made from patent black leather and adorned with their signature triangle logo plaque.

We absolutely adore Nicholas Kirkwood’s Green Suede Beya Loafers. They are the option to opt for if you’re seeking an artistic flair, pop of colour or a shoe with a touch of drama. They are an absolute dream!

The loafer has been styled with white socks and miniskirts for a preppy look, but we’ve also seen matching suit pants and blazers for vibe that can only be described as business chic.

It seems the grandma shoe can do anything!

Sky High Platform Heels

So 70’s! So Foxy Cleopatra! So Dua Lipa at Milan Fashion Week SS22!

Platform heels have been making a serious comeback in the past few months. From Fashion Week runways to photo dumps on Instagram – it seems the high, high block heel trend is here to stay.

When mentioning platform heels, it would be a crime to not highlight Versace’s supremacy over the ’70s style platform. They’ve earned a cult following since their debut in 2021 and subsequently crafted many variations including Mary Janes, platform leather boots and square toe mules.

It’s hard to stray further than Versace’s Yellow Medusa Aevitas Platform Heel. The shoe is made from a luxurious canary yellow satin, and features a sky high platform and an ankle strap with embellished charms and crystal cut accents. What more could you want?!

If you’re concerned about exposing your bare feet to the frosty weather, why don’t you don the heels with tights or your favourite pair of socks? The perfect trans-seasonal alternative.

Knee High Boots

With an intense drop in the weather and an onslaught of wind and frost, it’s only natural to crave the warmth of a closed toe shoe. More to the point, it’s only natural to crave the heat supplied by a sleek, fitted to the leg, knee-high boot.

Blue and grey snake printed leather, knee-high boots with a cute little kitten heel and metallic blue leather? we’ve got your knee-high needs covered!

Wandler’s Isa Leather Knee-High Boots are certainly a staple shoe. The block-coloured boot features panels of beige, black and white leather. Designed in a square toe cut, the boots strike a quintessential balance between experimental and chic.

Paris Texas do footwear well. Their knee-high boot is reminiscent of a western style boot with a pointed toe, a wide leg fit and an 85mm stiletto heel. The best bit? The boot is available on Farfetch, in a muted sage green and a warm brown leather.

The Rein of the Rain Boot

It should come as no surprise that knee high boots are still very much in fashion. If you’re searching for something that’s both functional and fashionable, look no further than a rain boot.

The shoe that was once confined to rainy days and disdained by children, is officially a fashion favourite.

If you’re keen on taking the traditional route, Hunter has you covered. The handcrafted boot is made from a waterproof rubber sole, with water resistant leather and a sherpa lining. Sport the slip-on boots with a mini skirt, skivvy and an oversized blazer. Simply divine!

This season cream anything is popping up everywhere! Alas, the cream colouring has made its way into rain boot fashion.

GIABORGHINI Tall Rubber Boots tick all the boxes. They’ve been made in a luxe leather and feature a ridged rubber sole. Finishing just shy of the knee, these boots are so cool you’ll want to wear them even if it’s not raining.

Slip-On Clogs & Loafers

Maybe it’s a reluctance to say goodbye to lockdown comforts, maybe it’s fashion? Whatever it is, there is a surge of slip on clogs this season.

We’ve picked a few favourite shoes that align with this easy, slip-on-slip-off trend.

One of the most iconic iterations of the slip on clog has to be, without any doubt, Birekenstock’s Boston. Crafted from their utterly comfortable and supportive cork footbed, a rounded toe in soft suedes and nubuck leathers and a buckle to boot, the Boston is the perfect accompaniment for any low-key look. Whether you’re kicking around at home or heading out for a coffee, a pair of Boston’s is a must-have.

For something a little chicer, we love Isabel Marant’s Mirvin Buckled Suede Slippers in ecru and black. They are the perfect shoe to slip on for errands and have peeking out of cargos pants, maxi skirts and suit pants.

Some have taken the trend up a notch and sported the hotly debated, Uggs in public. Why not take it a little further and check out Marni’s Blue Fussbett Sabot Loafers? Surprisingly, we love!
