Sprint Don’t Run: Fendi x SKIMS is Here!

The highly anticipated collaboration between the luxury Italian house and shapewear brainchild of Mrs Kardashian-West is finally here. Logomania, figure-hugging velour and sophisticated leather dresses make up some of the standout pieces of the collaborative project between the collective Kims, that’s Jones and Kardashian.

If you’re not yet hyper aware, it’s the Italian Fashion houses that have been making the biggest noises of late. Bottega Veneta, Versace and Fendi are high on the notoriety list, not to mention Gucci who is about to release a feature film starring Lady Gaga.

In an attempt to remain highly relevant and highly coveted, Kim Jones (Karl Lagerfeld’s successor) has collaborated with Kim Kardashian’s shapewear and underwear label, SKIMS to bring the people exactly what they want. This 116 odd piece collection released today, is the perfect vehicle to bring the luxury Italian fashion house to those who may otherwise not be able to access it.

In true SKIMS style, shapewear and underwear have taken a front seat in the silhouettes offering. Figure-hugging crops, bodycon dresses and catsuits are standouts. There is also a set of bikinis we’re sure are going to be spotted on our beaches this summer.

Meeting in a symphony of logo epicness, pops of vivid magentas and corals and classic shades of nude, there is certainly something for everyone here. This capsule is truly a perfectly balanced representation of both brands doing what they do best

Crafted in exceptional Italian velvets, leathers and nylons means that the price points sit somewhere between the high street and the high end. Of course, with a Fendi level attention to detail, some of the heavier pieces will still set you back a couple thousand dollars.

If you’re keen on the concept but not too keen on the designer price tag, browse the normal SKIMS site for similar silhouettes and colours to the collaboration, for a fraction of the price. Shop the collaboration below and get moving, it’s not going to last long at all!
