Jumping Aboard the Jort Trend this Season!

If you’ve been to or consumed any content from New York City in the last few months, you’ll have noticed that the fashionable city dwellers summer staple was the ‘Jort’. Born from a jean, evolved to a short, this denim phenomenon is the epitome of the go-to for the ‘cool girl’.

Adored and embraced by the ultimate cool-girl celebs like Bella Hadid, her sister Gigi Hadid and Hailey Bieber, the jort has well and truly earned it’s place in the top denim items for the remainder of 2023.

Characteristically, the jort is a loose and long denim short that looks as though you’ve taken a set of scissors to a vintage pair of Levi’s 501’s. Think of a boyfriend jean but cut into a short. Loose in silhouette, high-waisted and finished off with a sprinkling of attitude.

What they’re not? A jort is certainly NOT tight and certainly NOT super short. They couldnt be further from the ‘my boots are made from walking’ denim cut-offs.
