Introducing Reformation’s Activewear Line: Ref Active

Our favourite LA-based sustainable and ethical label just launched their first activewear line, and give it to me all, now. Reformation launches their first collection of athleisure comprising of sports bras, leggings, shorts and onesies all made from recycled plastic bottles, because of course it is.

Our fave LA-based sustainable and ethical visionaries have this week launched their first foray into activewear, and the collection is all about feeling good.

Reformation, known best for their feminine and timeless dresses and bridal offering have totally nailed athleisure in 2021. A generous offering of leggings, tops, onesies and shorts that emphasise inclusivity on a grand scale have us wanting every single piece.

The collection, launched March 1st, speaks to a concept of diversity and inclusivity that reigns so perfectly true to the brand’s impressive commitment to community and environment. Available in a size offering supporting women of sizes XS to 3XL, these shapes are a true representation of what it means to be supportive of every female body.

Each of the classic silhouettes is also available in a sweet and sexy variety of colours, which means each woman out there can move in the tone that makes her feel her best. We are here for it.

With sustainability being at the core of everything they do, Reformation has unsurprisingly created Ref Active in their trademark REPREVE fabric.

Made entirely from post-consumer recycled plastic bottles, REPREVE is an industry leader when it comes to circular textiles that are actually fabulous at performing.

“Producing the fabric uses 45% less energy, 20% less water, and 30% less greenhouse gas emissions than virgin polyester.” Says the brand themselves in a media statement released this week.

Released almost exactly a year since the first COVID lockdown started to change our global community, Ref Active embraces our new age of moment.

Since 2020, the concept of activewear and loungewear has taken on a whole different meaning and certainly a new role in our lives.
Not only catering to that shift but focusing on it completely, Reformation has very cleverly separated their activewear line into two categories: Eco Move ‘for Working Out’ and Eco Stretch ‘for Working from Home’. Here we were all 2020 wearing performance wear to lounge around on the couch!

The extensive collection comes at a time where half of us are beginning to descend into the autumn lull. So, thank you Reformation for providing us with the perfect push to get us motivated to move this march.
