Proneza Schouler; the fusion of contemporary cuts, and exquisite tailoring, under moniker combining two designers’ mothers’ maiden names.

The womenswear and accessory brand was founded in New York of 2002. Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez initially met at a Soho Nightclub and then again at Parson’s School of Design where they collaborated on their final design project. The range simultaneously became their first collection and was bought immediately by Barneys New York – Proenza Schouler was born!

The New York loyalty continues with the luxe brand having taken over the runway at this year’s SS22 NYFW. Boasting clean lines, vibrant colours and patterning, key summer dresses and statement sandals.

The brand’s clothing range is certainly considered cutting edge. This comes from the duo’s is recognisable experimentation with asymmetry, innovative designs, luxe materials, and the inclusion of classic and feminine silhouettes.

The pair have perfected the creation of tailored gowns and dresses made from unexpected fabrications, most notably heavy woven and knitted fabrics. Proenza Schoulder also continues to pave the way crafting women’s accessories, including over-the-knee leather boots, chunky sandals, leather earrings and uniquely shaped bags.
