The Luxe Gifts On Team Monde’s Christmas Wish Lists

Words By Team Monde

When it comes to holiday gifting, everyone has an item or two that they are secretly coveting. Here are ours.

Alexandra - Founder & CEO

There’s no denying that the Italians know a thing or two about designing fashion and accessories, and homewares are no exception.

I’ve always had a thing for Missoni Home, so this bathrobe in a unique checkerboard design will be the perfect complement to the matching bath towels I currently have in my bathroom.

This hooded style bathrobe in looped cotton terry is not only luxurious but practical as well. The muted hues of green, blue, tan and lilac will act as a beautiful contrast to the neutral earthy tones of my bathroom, like a wearable piece of art.

To be honest, if I received any gift from Jil Sander under the Christmas tree this year I would jump for joy, but I absolutely love the simple elegance of this Gold Classic Ring.

I love jewellery pieces that can be worn every day but when worn out can also really lift an outfit effortlessly.

There is something so classic and minimalistic about a simple gold ring, for me, I gesture a lot when I speak so I always like to be wearing beautiful rings but ones that aren’t too distracting. I would love for Santa to add this one to my collection.

I (foolishly) assumed the fashion industry was out of ways to update my bag game but as per usual Gucci has proven me wrong.

This box bag is an investment piece but one that will truly lend itself to any look or season. I love the idea of having my lip balm and spare face mask padlocked away in this vintage-styled beauty, with its classic Flora design and timeless leather finishes.

Opening that bag to reveal the red velvet-lined jewellery box inside is how I think I felt as a child opening my Christmas presents, and I’m hoping Santa comes through with the goods again this year.

High on my Christmas wishlist, this year is this Creators Edition Touch Alarm Clock by QLOCKTWO.

If like me you cannot stand an ounce of light in the bedroom, then you will fully appreciate this stylish reimagined alarm clock.

There are so many features to love about this clock but for me the standout is the automatic brightness adjustment to the ambient light and the ability to turn off the light completely at night. Did I mention that the cover can also be easily changed to suit any decor.

What’s not to love, stylish as well as functionality!

My poor boyfriend will never understand the inherent value (not associated to cost) that comes with a beautifully crafted, designer bag. So, unfortunately, it will be me purchasing myself this type of Chrissy present for the foreseeable future.

The Bottega Veneta woven trend is hot, timeless and one that’s sure to be around for a while. While I feel the Padded Casette Shoulder bag is almost a little too obvious a choice, I find this shade of green to be absolutely heavenly.

A bit of quirk, high fashion and most importantly a shape and size I can actually use. Fashion needs to be fun and practical and this bag ticks all boxes. From me to me, thank you Santa.

I’ve been keeping an eye on this incredible Dion Lee corset for a couple of months and coming up to Christmas time I’m even more tempted to finally take the plunge and purchase it.

For me, it’s the perfect corset top that would be sure to go well with a casual pair of mum jeans and sneakers. To dress it up, all it would take would be to layer it over a simple dress or skirt – any will do!

It’s the ultimate luxury purchase that I don’t see going out of fashion any time soon and also a wonderful Australian designer that deserves as much attention as possible.

Having long loved a deep dive into the world of designer handbags, scrolling the pages of Matches, Farfetch and alike, periodically adding to my bag, hurriedly clicking continue shopping, and never checking out.

It’s safe to say I’ve developed a pretty good idea of what I want when I do invest in a designer bag. And Riccardo Tisci has made all my handbag dreams come true with the Burberry Pocket mini leather cross-body bag.

The bag’s structured shape, tan tone and cross-body or handheld application makes it versatile and easy to style every day, it’s an absolute essential.

This year, my Christmas wish list is entirely reminiscent of summer holidays in Italy.

This white Faces dinner plate is part of the collaboration between Le Sirenuse, Positano and the wonderful British artist Luke Edward Hall – the designer was inspired by the shirt worn by Elio in the final scene of the Oscar-winning 2017 film Call Me By Your Name when designing the abstract pattern.

I would like an entire set!

This Sophie Billie Brahe Velvet Jewellery Box is a gift I’m crossing all fingers and toes for. Not only does it look beautiful, but it’s also practical with a compartmentalising tray interior.

This way, all your fine jewellery pieces stay put, untangled and presented beautifully in smooth, sumptuous velvet.

Jewellery boxes are the perfect Christmas gift. They don’t only act as a fabulous organisational piece, keeping your bedroom side table looking sleek and tidy. But, more often than not, jewellery boxes withhold some of our most sentimental and special fine accessories.

And so, there’s no better place more suited for jewellery this Christmas, than Sophie Billie Brahe’s soft, little blue box.
