4 Easy TikTok-Approved Halloween Beauty Looks

Left your spooky look to the last minute? These easy TikTok tutorials will get you looking frightening in no time.

Don’t be spooked! We’ve made Halloween easy this year with 4 trending TikTok looks from our favourite beauty creators. No matter your level of skill, these tutorials are the perfect mix of simplicity and scary and rely mostly on things you should already have in your cosmetic case.

Glossy Vampire Lips @hudabeauty

One of the most overwhelmingly popular beauty trends for Halloween 2022 is the ‘Vampire Lip’. Clogging ‘for you’ pages around the globe, the trend simply involves lining the outer lip with black eyeliner and filling the interior of both lips with a crimson-blood coloured lipstick.

This dramatic lip is not only really easy to achieve, it fits the scary brief and most would be able to nail it without needing to invest in any other products. Nothing frightening about that! Now, most beauty creators will put their own scary spin on a trend, and we were particularly drawn to the Vampire Lip iteration from Huda Beauty.

Huda Beauty is the brand baby of Huda Kattan, a blogger turned entrepreneur based out of the US, whose channels and product line amasses millions of followers and dollars in revenue.

In the viral TikTok video, Kattan adds her flair with a lick of lip gloss to her vampire pout. The final result is a glamourous Vampiress with lips good enough to eat!

A Simple Clown @dmarinabeauty

Clowns are the perfect mix of nostalgic and terrifying, which is clear why the costume is popular each Halloween. Thanks to a plethora of scary clown movies such as ‘It’, there is a wide library of inspiration when it comes to creating a kick-ass clown look from home. For us, we like to keep things simple, and so in the spirit of that, we appreciated TikTok creator, Danielle Marina’s rendition of the clown.

With a felt-tipped liquid eyeliner pen, create a downward facing triangle to the middle of the lower eyelid (you can also do this to the top half). Pair with a dramatic cat eyeliner, to feminise the look!

Nothing is more iconic than the overdrawn big lips of a clown, so to create this, grab a lip crayon in a dark red (you can also use a normal matte lipstick applied with a lip brush) and draw out the outer edges of where both lips meet. We appreciate how Danielle has used the same sharp flicks from her eyes here on the lips! A consistent clown, terrifying!

Vampire Skin @makeupbyalissiac

One of the prettiest Halloween beauty trends making it’s rounds on the For You pages of viewers around the world is ‘Vampire Skin’. Taking inspiration from Edward Cullen and his cluster of vampire mates of ‘Twilight’, vampire skin is all about making the complexion super glittery.

TikTok creator Alissia C has totalled nailed the look by incorporating glittery elements to the skin numerous times, and in numerous ways. Here’s how

Opt for a sheer foundation or skin tint to allow the sparkle to truly shine. Take that and mix in some liquid highlighter or wet glitter before applying it over the entire face. To up the dial on the disco ball skin, set the foundation with a pressed or loose glitter in powder form, with a small fluffy brush. Voila, luminous vampiress skin has been achieved.

To make the overall look more obvious, add some lipstick smudges to the lower part of the bottom lips to emulate blood. Yum.

Half Skeleton @hoperenee_mua

Finally, another classic last-minute go-to for Halloween that is pretty foolproof, is the skeleton. We’ll always hold space for the skull beauty look as all it really needs it black eye shadow, black eyeliner and a brush, which we’re sure you have sitting somewhere in your bathroom cabinet right now.
Hope Landre, TikTok beauty creator extraordinaire, has put her own spin on the skull and simplified it for all us budding (but not quite there yet) MUAs playing along at home. In an effort to not have issues with symmetry, Landre’s solution is to skeleton only half of the face, and honestly- genius!

Whilst the lines of a skeleton can be a little intricate, we thankfully have the bone structure (literally) to guide us on which parts of the face require emphasising.

To start, hollow out the eye sockets with back shadow and a small brush, before going in and defining the edges with a liquid liner pen. We could explain the rest but really you should just head on over to the video where Landre walks you through the steps very well! Good luck, skeleton friend.
