Madre Natura

madre natura is an Australian based purpose-driven brand that explores contemporary shapes through distinct design elements of precise craftsmanship.

Translating directly from Italian, ‘madre natura’ means ‘mother earth’, and that commitment to earth, right from the name, is why we have selected this brand to be part of our Earth Day 2024 wrap up.

Founded by Jackie Galleghan in 2020, madre natura was created with the vision to create timeless, beautiful garments which embrace sustainability, circularity, ethical production and adopt a slow fashion approach.

Each womenswear collection is designed, crafted and finished in Sydney by a small team of artisans using exclusively sustainable and renewable materials. The brand will use materials such as deadstock where available, plus surplus fabrics and organic cotton elsewhere. These materials have been selected for their durability and low-environmental impact, and with the intention for each piece to be loved and cherished for many years to come.

Known for redefining the notion of modern nostalgia and infused with a sense of cool, applying soft tailoring and reinvention of elevated classics that are crafted responsibility and locally. Every natura madre piece is crafted with a conscious approach, an investment, made to last.

More than a sustainable fashion label, madre natura seeks to shift our collective conscience into a more mindful and respectful attitude towards our wardrobe, one in which we buy less, buy better and keep longer and when finished, return back to be recycled once more.
