Luxe

For those who prefer to indulge or who appreciate the finer things in life, the luxury market is a fabulous place to peruse for items that are sure to become some of the most treasured in your wardrobe. Thankfully retailers such as NET-A-PORTER & Matches Fashion have a plethora of event, wedding guest and formal appropriate dresses, shoes and accessories to inspire you this season.

A standout frock that has caught my eye this season, which I truly epitomises spring playfulness, is this number from Italian Designer, Taller Marmo. The Gina Embroidered Mini Dress is the perfect mix of feminine, fun and flounce thanks to the addition of feathered cuffs, as well as a beautiful floral embroidered silk. It doesn’t get more spring than pink and floral, does it? If you’re dressing to impress, pair it back with these MACH & MACH Satin Sandals which also feature a super cute tulip on the heel.

For an ensemble that might cater to someone who appreciates a more muted palette, were big fans of GANNI’s butter yellow and black lace gown. Hit those accents of black with some accessories to tie the whole look together. We’d opt for this Roger Vivier Headband and this killer pair of Alaia Heels.

For those who feel comfortable spending between $200 and $600 on pieces to build their spring celebration outfit, we’ve got some fabulous options thanks to retailers such as The Iconic & SSENSE.

For a frock that oozes spring refresh, this full length number from Binya is a top contender within the mi-market contemporary offering. Thanks to it’s vibrant yellow-green hue, graphic floral print and sheer nature, this dress could quite easily double as a work appropriate look when paired back with an oversized blazer. For our spring event season, we’d pair the Binya dress with these strappy Aeyde mules which offer wonderful versatility, plus this colourful woven bucket bag from Matches Fashion.

Not into florals, no problem! Norma Kamali offers affordable dresses in her signature and flattering drapery look. Pair the Diana One Shoulder Rouched Jersey Dress thats is on offer in a delicious caramel colour, with accessories in shades of brown, to look like a monochromatic dream come your event. We’re fans of these super fun gold earrings from Joolz by Martha Calvo and luxe head piece from Jennifer Behr.

Cheap and cheerful? We got you! Thanks to a bunch of brands and trusty retailers such as The Iconic, dressing to impress this spring season is a breeze. Here you’ll find a top-notch bunch of dresses, accessories and footwear to put your best formal foot forward, all $200 or under.

Spring is a time to embrace colour and femininity, so what better way to kick off your spring outfit than basing your look around a pink dress? We’ve rounded up some knockout numbers like this two-toned dream from Staud, and this versatile and shimmery pink number from Miss Kim Kardashian herself (via SKIMS). Whilst both of these dresses would be an idea choice for a work do, spring wedding or a seasonal event,  they could easily be dressed down with a sneaker and worn to the office, promise!

Now back to the formalities, a sneaker sure won’t do, so we’ve enlisted help from brands such as Steve Madden & DAZIE to provide some formal footwear that oozes spring fun. The rosette trend is well and truly here to stay for another season, and the Poppy Rose Heels are the perfect way to join in on the fun, without having to fork out a few thousand to invest in a similar style from Magda Butrym. Likewise, we’re big fans of these Amina Muaddi-inspired pumps from Steve Madden, for the same reason.
