What We Are Wearing on Christmas Day
No matter your plans on Christmas Day, we've got your oufits covered.
Some may be yearning for a White Christmas, but we just love how in Australia, we get to choose how dressed up (or down) we want to be. Whether you're spending the day by the beach or attending a more fancy and formal festive soiree, you're spoilt for choice when it comes to your Christmas Day get-up.
Words By Eliza Sears
Relaxed
When it comes to the quintennial Australian Christmas, a day spent at the beach, lounging around the house and indulging in a BBQ fits the picture.
If you intend to spend Christmas chilling on the sand, by the pool or maybe on the couch after a heavy lunch, a loose-fitting dress is the way to go.
While we may first reach for a linen piece solely for comfort and cooling, comfort being the top of your priority list doesn’t necessarily mean you need to compromise on style. From boho to minimalist, designers have, in recent years, embraced resort wear putting their spin on the linen look.
Christmas Day with loved ones call for casual footwear, so stick to a sandal you can slip on and kick-off as soon as you reach your destination. For the more adventurous among us, a post-lunch walk might be on the cards, for this we suggest a simple white sneaker.

Dressup Up
Perhaps your family is a little fancier, you’re catching up with the in-laws, or you’ve had enough of loungewear and never want to see another tracksuit EVER.
We get it, Christmas is an ideal time to refresh your look, add some sparkle and have fun with your outfit.
To begin, adding structure by way of tailoring will make you look fresh and polished.
Enter, the Camilla and Marc Finke Midi Shirt Dress. The picture of sophistication, this sage hued dress offers endless styling opportunities to dress up or down by pairing with simple slides, sneakers or loafers, and it can take you from day to night.
As we enjoy a southern hemisphere Christmas, one thing we cannot leave the house without is sunglasses. Your sunnies will no doubt save you at some point on Christmas Day, no frown lines for us thank you.

Going Out
What a treat! Going out on Christmas Day calls for an outfit to match the occasion.
We’re thinking jewel tones, heels, and a little sparkle.
When it comes to dressing up, let your accessories do the talking, statement pieces like chunky hoops or heavy pearls will elevate your look.
It’s probably been a while since you last wore heels, so there is no need to go high, low to mid heels are in right now and we couldn’t be happier.
The Loeffler Randall penny knot slides are the silly season personified, wrapped like a gift and ready to party the night away. You can do no wrong with these on, pair with a simple slip or flirty mini, they’ll breathe life into any outfit, Christmas and beyond.
