Sweat sets are no longer donned strictly in the comfort of one’s own four walls. The effortless two piece has swiftly transcended into a statement outfit exuding comfort and, surprisingly, class. With the shift to permanently work from home for some, it seems stylish sweat sets are here to stay.

Designers around the globe are basking in the sweat suit trend, using high end fabrics and techniques to bring a level of luxury.
Made from a blend of Shanghai silk and cashmere, Olivia Von Halle’s hoodie and track pant set is the epitome of sweat set luxury. We’ve paired the camel-coloured pants and hoodie with Acne Studio’s classic, double breasted blazer to add structure and contemporary class.
We’ve been loving the humble Chelsea boot, specifically, Bottega Veneta’s, Black Lug boots. The boots are just the right amount of casual through the elasticated sides and thick lug sole; whilst remaining sleek and stylish.
It is safe to say both textured and patterned handbags are having their moment, yet a classic red bag will never go out of fashion. The pop of scarlet red from Valextra’s leather cross-body bag brings the outfit to life.
We’ve paired the outfit with Anito Ko’s Safety Pin earring. The 18-karat gold jewellery compliments the everyday sweat set attire while adding a touch of modern femininity.

PE Nation have created an oversized sweat set from a heavy weight brushed fleet fabric with an embossed logo on both the pants and the hoodie. The pastel blue colour screams of contemporary class, whilst maintaining a sporty look.
To add a level of sophistication, we have paired the sweat s with Camilla and Marc’s Earlston Trench Coat. The trench features the traditional storm flaps and deep pockets yet assumes a relaxed fit finishing at the shin. It is the perfect coat to embellish any outfit.
The powder blue set paired with the patterned trench allows for a pop of colour, and for that, we opted for this bright blue Ganni cross body bag. Made from recycled leather, in a shade of cobalt blue, the mini envelope bag complements the powder blue sweat set perfectly.
We’ve channelled our inner sporty style, with the New Balance Classics in the colour turtledove with has tones of bone, white and black.

Low
For our low look, we have taken the humble sweat set back to its roots; taking our inspiration from the iconic royal gym attire donned by the one and only Princess Diana.
The matching sweat set from Nasty Gal is in a shade of soft white featuring a blue embroidered, ‘Active Society’ logo and oversized silhouette instils the importance of comfort whilst maintaining chic.
Accessorising with a sporty cap ensured that the overall look was effortless. We have chosen one from Rarefied, in an off-white plaid. To remain true to the sporty style we have selected a blue and white pair of Adidas basketball sneakers, with all of the classic sneaker elements.
We love the look of a heavy trench over the top of the oversized, baggy sweat set. Lioness’ Trencherous Long Coat is double breasted and in the classic trench coat beige. Pairing a classic trench with a sweat set is the key to making the casual and effortless set into a refined and chic outfit.
