Chanel

Easily one of the most desired and well-loved brands in the fashion and beauty world, it would be a French crime not to kick-off with Chanel. The brand come iconic fashion house, was born in 1910 by infamous Gabriel ‘Coco’ Chanel in Paris. It wasn’t until over ten years later that Chanel took a turn in the beauty realm with the iconic Chanel No 5 fragrance. The Eau de Parfum was a momentus hit and from there, the business took off. In 1924, the cosmetics line was launched, including face powder and a range of lipsticks, thanks to the  foundation paved by the fragrance’s success.

After decades existing as one of the most sought after luxury labels, Chanel secures its place in every beauty lover’s heart. Carrying a classic and luxurious reputation, the brand still epitomises the youthful and timeless energy.

We are all so familiar with Chanel’s popular lippies, but the brand also knows exactly what they’re doing when it comes to the base. You can trust Chanel with that radiant flawless base you long for. Have a taste of that luxurious feeling on your skin with Le Blanc de Chanel Illuminating Base and touch up with their long-wear concealer.

YSL Beauty

Another beauty brand took off from being a Paris fashion house, Yves Saint Laurent. Y fragrance lead the brand’s beauty line into blossom in 1964. Ever since, YSL Beauty has expanded its offers to a great range of products. Taking the turn to beauty, Yves Saint Laurent stays true to its embodiment of Paris, romantic and revolutionary.

What’s the hype, you may ask? Touche Éclat. Period. No but really, it’s been the epitome of makeup since its launch in 1992. It’s the cult favourite, the icon of the cosmetics realm. 30 years and the coverage and radiance coming from this single concealer pen is still worth all it’s accolades. The versatility of this ultra-fluid lightweight concealer is honestly, *chef kiss*! Use it for your dark circles, make your lips look fuller, add highlight to your cheekbones, however you want.

And we can’t forget about its sibling Touche Éclat Blur Primer. It’s the pinnacle of the luxurious base, hydrating, glowy and shimmering. Its ability to hold the foundation you apply afterwards and add extra radiance to it will promise to make every penny spent worthwhile.

Born as a French fashion house in 1837, Hermès set its has it’s first foray into the beauty business a mere couple of years ago and instantly became a cult favourite with the Rouge Hermès lipstick collection. It’s been two years, yet we can not stop talking about Hermès’ lipstick collection of 2020.

The collection encapsulates all the French spirit you’re looking for. The luxurious satin finish reminds you of walking down the Champs-Élysées with a silky soft scarf enveloping the skin of your neck. The simple and refillable package makes it an even better investment, echoing a playful mood.

Christian Louboutin

The French label responsible for the iconic red soled shoes and the rarest, most imaginative designs? Christian Louboutin, the footwear-making genius, stepped foot in the beauty business in 2014 where the brand’s reputation was proved further. Within the first launch, the fashion house brought a new face to luxury beauty. Makeup and accessories, two in one and in our opinion, a match made in Frenchy heaven.

Driven by the first hit from the scarlet red nail polish, reminding you of Christian Louboutin’s iconic red heels, the line of unique lipsticks came onto the market. Everything about these products scream luxury. The packaging works as seamlessly as a piece of jewellery. The bullet shape with a crown is just so distinguishable, making it an item of high desirability. But our beloved lipstick is not all about packaging.

Whether its the silky or matte finish you love, Christian Louboutin offers a formula with the right amount of pigmentation and nourishment. The shades are gorgeous and suitable for many skin tones. Plus, the brand has made the packaging refillable. Need we say more?

Christophe Robin

The last brand we want to talk about from the iconic city of love is Christophe Robin. Different from the previous brands mentioned above, this label has specialised in luxury haircare from the very beginning.

Christophe Robin launched the first product in 1999 with the vision of providing the best hair care products for every type of hair. Prior to launching his namesake label, Christophe Robin was a professional colourist for years before developing his now viral, original formulas.

His vision remains reflected in each product, made of natural ingredients, like prickly pear, lavender, chamomile and lemon with great care. Worry not about your dry and damaged coloured hair any longer because Christophe Robin’s coloured haircare line is the solution. That gorgeous silky hair is not so out of reach!

Ranging from scrub, to cream, to mask, the products promise to bring out the full potential of your hair. From your scalp to your ends, it’s like you are transported to a luxury A-list salon in Paris.

With various ranges designed specifically for each hair type and need, you’ll be sure to find just what you’re looking for.
