Festival Fashion Fiesta

Continue serving festival fashion, long after the season is over.

Although festival season is coming to a close, there are no rules to say it's time to hang up your bucket hats and bum bags. Instead at Shop Monde, we say keep serving Festival fashion looks throughout the year. From bright neon ensembles, carefree, boho fringe, to chainmail grunge, we’ve assembled some of our favourite festival-inspired looks. Whatever your style, find your fierce favourites below.

Bright Neon

Nothing says freedom like colour from head-to-toe. Turn heads with a bright, neon look.  We suggest picking a statement piece and building your outfit from there.

Our choice is the Helios Aura-print mesh mini dress from Louisa Ballou. This Psychedelic, body con number has a mixture of acrid green and orange hues that can be complemented with accessories.

The Jil Sander Leather belt bag is the perfect tone to pick up the highlights within the dress.

To offset the minimal tailoring of this look we would opt for a chunky shoe like the platform clog slingback from Xocoi.

A pair of retro Gucci sunglasses ties in perfectly with the psychedelic print of the dress and will have you right on trend with their oversized shape.

A bonus of these shades is their transparent blue lenses, which ensure no eye make-up will go to waste, creating the perfect frame for a winged cat-eye or neon shadow.

Complete your look with a statement yellow bucket hat from Vans. Its reversible feature creates versatility to match your colour palette of choice.

Boho

Bohemian chic is one of the original trademarks of Festival goers. This iconic style is a classic that is not going anywhere. Embody the boho spirit with long flowing silhouettes and textured features.

Our style of choice is fringe, a trend we’ve seen on the forefront of New York Fashion Week this year. Proenza Schouler has gifted us with their Textured Knit Fringe Skirt. Crafted in the zesty shade of tangerine, this piece features piped fringe that is tiered to the bottom, creating maximum movement.

Complement the skirt with the Suede Pillow Hobo bag from Balmain for an elevated moment of texture.

A pair of suede cowboy boots from Isabel Marant are both comfortable and chic and will add a western feel to your look.

We would suggest highlighting the western element of your ensemble with a straw hat from Gucci. An accessory that is equally timeless as it is SunSmart.

The Lola crop top from Zimmerman with complete your look with a touch of elegance. The intricate floral texture creates a romantic charm that is fresh and feminine. Shop the look below.

Grunge

No festival look book would be complete without an element of grunge. Think chainmail, mesh and leather and you’ve got a fierce festival look.

Our starting piece would be the Draped Chainmail Halterneck Top from Alexander Wang. This glamourous cowl neck may be reminiscent of Studio 54 but will not be out of place in today’s fashion field.

Elevate the chainmail texture of your outfit with the Callie Tasselled Degradé Chainmail Shoulder Bag from Jimmy Choo. The rainbow ombre pattern can feature as a pop of colour or a starting piece to match with the rest of your outfit.

Offset the minimal material of your top with the Ganni Flocked Mesh Midi Wrap Skirt. The polka-dot mesh material of the skirt is subversively sexy and acts as the perfect frame for a chunky pair of boots.

The Bogner Chesa Alpina Leather Combat Boots are the perfect way to complete any grunge-inspired outfit. The punk style of the boots creates a contrast with the elegance of the cowl neck top.

Safe to say you’ll be turning heads in an outfit like this. Find the details for this look below.
