The World is Going Nutty for the Hue of Pistachio
We’ve already covered the coveted green hue that was a big hit over the latest period, get to know Olive here, and now that the warmer weather is about to hit the northern hemisphere, we’re starting to see pistachio pop back up.
Pistachio, named after the salted nut snack and vibrant addition to many a Middle Eastern sweet treat, is an almost pastel green colour that exudes subtlety. It features a goldeny-yellow tinge that makes it within the chartreuse family, but dulled down (way down) in vibrance.
We’ve witnessed the return of pistachio recently thanks to a few brands featuring it in their collections. Namely, Australian label SIR featured it as one of the hero hues in their SS collection. We’re big fans of the Adrien Bandeau Mini Dress.
Another of our favourite Australian labels putting their spin on the nutty shade is Christopher Esber. We’re very much enjoying the already popular (Kim Kardashian wore this style in the latest season if ‘The Kardashians’ Crystal Lattice Tank Top, but now in our top note of pistachio.
If you’re gearing up for a long winter period like us here in the southern parts of Australia, some loungewear in this bright hue might just be the token bit of sunshine to get you through. Both CAMILLA AND MARC and Stussy have sweats in pistachio this season, and they’re both as compelling as each other.
Oh and if you don’t have an allergy to the colour pistachio, then we think integrating this delectable hue into the home is also a bright idea. Add pops of pistachio to your space with Blobby Tulum Pistachio Candle or Fazeek Striped Candles!
