Spring Refresh, Breathing New Life into your Home

Spring clean done and dusted? A new season represents many things, and a great excuse to add some beautiful new things into your space.

Nestled somewhere between winter and the holidays are a few months known in the southern hemisphere as Spring. Often considered a time of re-emergence or revival post winter hibernation, it’s time to open those windows and let some fresh air into the lungs of your home.

Personally, I enjoy a hint of maximalism peppered throughout the home, especially when looking at investing in new things. Feeling particularly inspired after seeing the beyond inspiring home of Go-To skincare founder/Australia’s sweetheart, Zoe Foster-Blake, I’m looking for exceptional pieces that simply spark a bunch of joy.

Spring to me feels and tastes like an explosion of colour, prints, textures, and fun, and so, the perfect opportunity to invite some wow into the space.

Vessels for liquids and flowers are my go-to versatile addition to add personality to any room. One of my favourite reasons to invest in small vessels is that you can constantly change where they live and what they’re used for. Textural elements in ceramic or bursts of glass in technicolour never go out of style, and some of my favourite brands delivering these are Maison Balzac, Henry Holland Studio and Sunny Life.

For rooms that aren’t as conducive to styling elements and are mostly about functionality, hello the bathroom, look for elements such as towels and mats that are beyond bright and plush, to soften the space. My favourites who nail this brief are consistently DUSEN DUSEN, Hommey and Tekla.

Nothing says freshness or spring quite like home fragrance, and those that are worth inviting back to your place go by the name of Scent Australia Home, Le Labo and Lola James Harper, just to name a few.

Wherever you’re situated, let this be your reminder that you don’t have to wait for a trip to go on holiday, fill your home with goodies that evoke joy and fun and you’ll live in a constant state of bliss (well most of the time anyway).

It’s time to replace the drab with the fab, shop joy-inducing goodies for the home courtesy of chez Monde.
