Mid Blues are this Moment’s Coolest Colour

Not pastel and not navy, these are the mid-range blue hues stealing our attention this season.

This season’s world of menswear is exceptionally exciting for us here at Monde thanks to vibrant pops of blue.

Back at the end of 2019, Pantone announced that Classical Blue, a shade somewhere between a midnight and cobalt blue, was the colour of 2020. Thanks to a global pandemic that practically rearranged over 12 months of regular programming, this vibrant hue has spilled into 2021.

Represented on the runways by the likes of Balenciaga, A-Cold-Wall and Craig Green, Classic Blue and the shades surrounding it have trickled their way into the high street and into our wardrobes.

Cerulean, cobalt and hues of Yves Klein Blue are all very much present throughout the contemporary and modern menswear retailers. Outdoorsy brands such as Adidas Originals and Patagonia make a convincing case for subbing in cool tones for your workouts. For the funky-prone and retro appreciators, look out for blue numbers from the likes of Casablanca, Stussy and Acne Studios.

Sandwiched somewhere between a royal, regal and rich representation of the cool colour, blue is certainly here to stay well into the season – deep dive into the sea of vivid blues below.
